The last time i used my weed eater it was about six weeks ago. It was working perfect just like the first day i bought it . i drain the fuel that left in the tank after i finish cutting my yard. i started it with one pull, it work until it run out of gas. six week later i went to use it and i cannot get it to start. i bought fresh gas and mix it properly 31 to 1 ratio. i check for spark it is sparking, their is gas going into the cylinder i can smell gas when i pull it and i can see gas on the plug. i remove the exhaust and clean it, their was not much carbon bill up their, i blow through the exhaust it is clear, i remove the intake and clean it,reinstall with new gasket,i removed the carburator and clean it, a little bit of dirt was in the carburator. after this work it still wont start.
Assuming you still have evidence of fuel in the cylinder after carb work; and still have visible spark across the plug, I would install a new spark plug. It is fairly common for a spark plug to cease working under pressure in a cylinder while appearing ok outside of the engine.
