Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Sounds like you are describing the Solorized Picture problem. This is a common problem on your model. Mitsubishi recommends removing and re-seating the DVI cable between the light engine and the chassis. If this doesn't fix it then you have to change the light engine. I have never seen a remove/reseat fix the problem myself but i have had a tech or 2 that i know fix it this way on occasion. Most of the time its a bad optical. Mitsubishi has extended the warranty for this problem on the 73" tv's but I do not think they are covering it on the 62" sets. also check the power cord wire coming from the back of the tv is loose from the tv side or perfect.

Hi, how is the cable box hooked up to the TV? Is it HDMI cable or componet (red/green/blue) ? When you say totally green, do you mean the the picture is only green with the other colors missing or every color looks green ?
