I need how to replace the ignition coil for my troybilt storm 2840 snowthrower

The actual model number is 12A-VB29Q711.
What's really needed is the model number of the Honda engine. What I came up with is this:

Normally it's located near the muffler &/or carburetor. Look for a rubber wire about 1/4" in diameter coming from under the flywheel and running along the engine and terminating in a 90° elbow. This is the ignition wire and it's connected to the top of the spark plug. It's just pressed on. To remove, grasp on the 90° portion and twist while pulling up. You will need a spark plug wrench to remove the plug, you can buy one at any place that sells lawn and garden parts (Wal-Mart, etc). Usually sold under the label of Briggs & Stratton. You will need to take the plug with you so you can match the number on the side of the plug and get the exact same plug. When replacing, screw in finger tight that then using the spark plug wrench, continue tightening 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

Do you replace the sparkplug?

I have one too, almost same problems. I had to change the control module. Try that cuz I went through the whole list with no luck. Control module made it work

Ignition Coil or Crank Sensor

First I would replace the spark plug with a new one. If that does not work, there is a little electronic ignition part that may need to be replaced.
Please let me know what you find.
