Your earphone capture some moisture in it, shake it or dry it properly for a while.

SOURCE: MP3

Dear FixYa team,

The problem with my MP3 remains unsolved.
Providing you have someone on your team who does know how to fix the problem, I would be interested in talking/communicating with them. I have established that the problem is not in the MP3 itself but in my PC. Please don't direct me to the "Expert" named dilipbagdi as this guy needs an education himself.

Thanks

Errol

Only one of my earphones work for my mp3 player

Make sure that you've pushed the earphone plug all the way in. Some Sansa players have very tight earphone jacks. If that doesn't work, it's likely that the player is broken.

Earphone muffling

I had the same problem but through trial and error came to a good solution that works consistantly for me as I swim laps. When you push the earbud in your ear push it as deep as you can so that there is suction if you try to pull it out. That keeps water out. When pulling out the earbud do it slowly and wiggle to break the suction. This is an uncomfortable way to walk around with the earbud in your ear but if you do this just when you are swimming laps you'll never notice this discomfort while you are swimming.

Earphones

Common problem with mp3 players, not just iRiver. Unless you are unusually careful with them - as in, sit still and don't move, this is something you can expect going forward. If you are experiencing the -sound out of only one earphone problem- then the mp3 player itself is faulty and needs to be replaced. If it just sounds scratchy, then sit still and don't move. Sad, but true. 3 times in 4 months is a bit excessive.
