Model # E480i-B2
If the television still won't turn on, turn your TV off at the wall and unplug it from the plug socket. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and switch it on. This is called a 'soft reset', and should recalibrate the TV.
Make sure your TV is plugged in and then try turning on your TV using the remote.

That model has a problem with the CRTs dripping fluid onto the oards directly under the tubes and it will corrode the components and solder preventing start up. Check the boards for evidence of coolant leaking it should be either wet shiny or a pasty residule if so let me know and I will try to help you straighten it out.

I was having same problem, then on 4/4/08 it went out with just a blue screen, with no signal, then it would turn itself off in about 4 seconds! Not to happy here! its 3 months out of warranty so no help from vizio. my buddy had the same problem a month or so ago with same tv GV42L HDTV. if your handy you could do it yourself, like i will when part gets in. saving some money! its the main board ***'y you can look it up at vancebaldwin or shopjimmy.com. i would just keep using until the screen goes blue. Hope this helps

Try 747; it's supposed to work on most combomodels

IT SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY. TAKE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED VIZIO SERVICER.

For the 46" TV, it sounds like the main board is bad.
For the 50" Vizio: is the LED light on?
