IF THERE IS WHITE VERTICAL LINES IN YOUR PROJECTION THEN REMOVE THE MOTHER BOARD AND REFIT THE BOARD OR U CAN JUST PRESS IT FROM UPPERSIDE THE PROBLEM WILL SOLVE OUT

SOURCE: EP716 Optoma Projector Fuse

There is no fuse. I took my EP 716 apart to find out why it died. I found a resistor had blown on the power board made by the Tiwan co. Quazarpower.

I would try switching out the DVI cable first. It could be faulty. This would be the easiest and cheapest solution to check.

Reduce the screen resolution of your computer monitor to 800 x 600 and check. Let us know the result.
Optoma is a SVGA projector. i.e. the maximum resolution supported by your projector is 800 x 600.

There is an option in the setup menus to re-orientate the picture, to flip it either vertically, horizontally or both to correct for the various installation options. You should be able to correct it quite easily :o)

Optima ep716 power light flashes green but cannot turn on projector?

The green flashing light is jsut indicating it is in standby mode.

Just double check the connectors are in place and do not have any damaged pins. If the input is active from a laptop- make sure you have the external monitor enabled- some you have to manually enable, some you merely need to have the monitor plugged into it.

If all of that is okay and functioning, and it still will not get out of standby, open the unit and check the wiring to the DB15 connector for a broken wire, If those check out, visually inspect the power supply for any bulging electrolytic capacitors- if any are found, replace them with high ripple current types.
