Sony Walkman NWZ-E438F Not charging

My Sony walkman has been plugged into the computer for 3 nights and yet it is still stuck at 1 bar. I don't want to operate it because I fear it will turn off and not come back, I tried the reset button but it still remains on the 1/4 bars. Any suggestions would be appreciated a lot.

Thanks very much ^_^

You need to replace the battery pack, they do not last forever.

SOURCE: Walkman will not charge

Whenever I plug my Walkman into my USB hub, which is connected to my desktop, it too says it's battery is full after just a few seconds. I plugged it directly into my laptop, and it took a charge as normal. Then I plugged it into a different USB port on my desktop, and it again took a charge as normal.
So, if you are using a USB hub, try plugging the Walkman directly into one of the computers USB ports, you may have better luck.

SOURCE: Sony Walkman (NWZ-E438F) won't turn on

It sounds like you followed the directions, so the device may be defective.

Your laptop's USB port has enough power to use other similar devices? If so, I'd take it back for an exchange.

By the way, it's a great device, so don't give up yet!

I lost my charger , where can I find another charger in Phoenix Arizona?

Hi,

It is not required to use a charger for charging the NWZ-E438F Walkman Player. You can connect the Player to the Computer using the USB cable for charging the Walkman Player. The charger is not supplied with the Player, however you can purchase the portable charger for the Player.
Recharging Time : USB-based charging Approx. 4 Hrs (full charge), Approx. 2 Hrs (approx. 80%)
The model # of the compatible charger is AC-U501AD and AC-NWUM50. Click here for the link to purchase AC-U501AD and AC-NWUM50
Please feel free to get back to us for further assistance.

The screen has gone blank!!

Charge the Walkman fully. To charge the battery of the Walkman fully keep it plugged in to the Computer for 4 hours.

Reset the Walkman by pressing the RESET button that is located at the bottom.

You can use any sharp pointed object to press the reset button.

If the issue persists then Walkman may require service.

My nwz-e438f walkman wont charge anymore can anyone help me?

Hi hellohello21,
attach the supplied cable directly to the computer's USB port (don't use any other extension cord simultaneously). If that doesn't work, check if you've some problems with your USB driver.
