Roper washer #REW4640YQ1 stops after fills with water. Have change lid lock and shift actuator. Worked for a few loads stopped working again.

could be a bad pressure switch did it fill all the way is it a top loader or front loader any noise or nothing

hi there,

i would recommend checking the water level switch or lid switch and also the cable leading to it. that is what sends a signal to the machine control to stop filling with water.

Still replace the lid switch. Most have multiple contacts.

sounds like motor if nothing stuck between tubs or in pump ,check these first if ok you have bad timer

Kenmore top loading low water washer will not fill. Start washer, the lid lock light comes on, lid locks then senses laid then unlocks and nothing else happens.

Hello, So unit should fill with water though right? Just no spin and drain. more than likly you have a bad lid switch. look and see if there is a hole somewhere on the frame. usually on the lid you will see a actuator that plunges into the lid switch. When you close the lid you should hear a click if there is no click you a bad lid switch.
