Audio driver not working in p5gl mx in windows 7

Hello you can download the driver here:

By selecting windows xp, and open the Audio folder, and click global for download.

The audio file needs to be unziped, before you install the driver.

Reboot after the install is done.
Update the other drivers, if any missing.

The audio file is newer present, in the xp installation file.

There are no Windows 7 driver listed for this board, you could try reinstalling your Vista Audio driver.
If that doesn't work you will need to install a sound card

You have absolutely right, there are no drivers for your motherboard for Windows 7. I suggest you to try from this official link to download and install the windows xp drivers (use the 32 or 64 bit version according your system configuration). In case that this won't work, right click on the drivers' installation file, choose compatibility mode as Windows XP, click on apply - ok. Reinstall the drivers in Win XP compatibility. Check the results.

You're motherboard has the following audio chipset:
SoundMax ADI AD1986A. There is no specific Windwos 7 audio driver for your motherboard yet, but any Windows 7 compatible driver for the AD1986 will do.

I found a Vista driver on the Asus site which should be compatible, although I didn't check it myself (since I don't use Win7 yet). The download link is on this page: http://support.asus.com/download/download_item.aspx?product=1&model=P5VDC-X&SLanguage=en-us&Type=all

Yeah, the page loads very slow, but whenever it's there, download & try the "ADI AD1986A Audio Driver v6.10.01.6070" driver.
