You first need to install printer drivers on the computer. For this go to www.lexmark.com and download drivers. Once you download driver, connect your printer, turn it on and install driver.
After installing drivers you are ready to print.

ok..start here

choose your model, and operating system, and then download the driver..install, restart your computer(after disconnecting USB cable from back of printer)..

then, when your computer is back up, plug in printer. computer should see it, and load driver automatically.

and then click on download now. This is the Windows XP driver for your printer. Run that file and it will install your printer for you.
