WFD2460 Bosch washing machine

When using the machine, the clothes are being washed ok, but the fabric conditioner is not being released into the drum - instead the compartment where the fabric conditioner goes is filling up with water so I have to empty it after each wash.
Please can anyone help??!!

Thanks, Sue

If there is alot of that dark slimey stuff around the drawer compartment, it has probably built up above the drawer where the rinse water comes out. This caused the same prolem on our bosch washing machine.
The 4 small holes above the drawer need to be cleaned out.
There should be a removable cover, accessible after the drawer is removed, but it can be a real pain to get off and on again.
Alternatively, us a brush and pipe cleaners, although this is less effective.
good luck.

SOURCE: My washing machine isnt accepting fabric conditioner

have you lifted up the conditioner flap on the drawer, you would of seen a long plastic tube sticking up, this tube gets blocked from time to time resulting in the softner not going into the machine. if you have cleaned this tube when you took the drawer out, then the only other cause is the solonoid vavle is the fault. this is easily replaced.

SOURCE: Fabric softener compartment problem.

I have this problem as well.. All washing machines manufactured nowadays are energy effficient, which means that they don't use as much water as the older models. This can result in a build-up of bacteria in the top part of the washing machine, which is clogging up the bit where the water comes through to flush the fabric conditioner into the drum. What I have to do every so often, is to take the top off the washing machine and clean out the layer of black slime that has built up, blocking the holes where the water goes into the washing machine. Another contributory factor is that the usual program used is a 40 degree wash, which is not hot enough to completely flush the machine through. Manufacturers recommend running a 90 degree wash once a month with just washing powder in iit, no clothes. Hope this is some help

SOURCE: fabric conditioner drawer does not empty

The inlet to the conditioner compartment is probably blocked.
Get a thin piece of flexible wire and make a right angled bend on the end about 1" long, and poke it into all the holes u can see in the top of the dispenser compartment, particularly the ones at the front right side.
This should solve the prob.
Plz rate this solution .
Thanks

SOURCE: fabric conditioner still in compartment after wash

Most washers recommend dilluting the softener with water when you put it in the compartment. It can build up and completely block it. I've had to manually remove it with anything I could find to reach it and since I've started dilluting it have had not problem.

Bosch wfd2460 washing machine..fault water pouring out of machine drum even though mchine is switched off and door was open, please help

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill! It's not closing correctly and closed is its 'default' and no power position.
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call ;-0(
Good luck,

Fills with water then does not rotate, also does not spin

Check for large items of clothes being tangled if the Bosch washing machine doesn't spin. The weight could not be evenly distributed in the drum and the spin cycle will have been disabled to prevent damage to the clothes..

Load the drum with large and small clothes together and run the entire washing cycle and spin cycle again.

Add more powder and run the entire washing and spin cycle again if you haven't found tangled large items, but the spin cycle still failed. This indicates the amount of cloths was too small.

Add 1 tablespoon of fabric softener to 1 pint of water and pour it into the main detergent dispenser if there's no tangling and the load was a normal size. The cause would have been excessive suds because of too much, or the wrong kind, of detergent. Use HE (High Efficiency) detergent in Bosch washing machines.
