It appears your display adapter is set to a different refresh frequency or resolution,
either accidentally or due to some power glitch.
If you cannot set the resolution because this message is preventing you from getting to the
display settings window, try rebooting your PC in Safe Mode. It'll take a while longer
than usual, but when you're finally running, try setting your display adapter to the
1280x1024 60Hz settings. This is available under "Advanced->Adapter->List all modes".
To reboot in safe mode, try pressing the PF8 keys repeatedly after the POST messages
disappear just after turning the power on. This only works if this key is enabled to
operate from the BIOS settings.
To get to the BIOS setup, Look at the first messages displayed on your screen indicating what key to press. It's usually the Delete or PF2 key, but different BIOS manufacturers use different keys.
Once inside the BIOS setup, find the way to enable the PF8, PF9, PF10, keys. Save your
settings and reboot.
Now you may try PF8 again to go to Safe Mode.
Good Luck!

What happen when you hook this monitor up to other PC that has the video setting 1280 X 1024 60 Hz? Just ant to narrow down the problem before opening up the monitor. You may have logic problem in the logic board. If it does the same with other PC, then open it up and inpsect the inside for such thing as failed caps on the logic board or on the main power supply board, I think more likely to be ROM chip on the logic board is scrambled.

Not optimum mode

This means your computer windows resolution is not display in the correct resolution which your samsung LCD will take.

What you need to do it boot the computer in safe mode. (pressing F8 at start up and select safe mode) This should bring the windows to start up in the generic 800x600 resolution.

Once you are able to see the display in safe mode, go onto the display properties and change the resolution.
* right click on desktop -> properties -> settings

Please rate this if it solves your issue. If you need further assistance please post.

Samsung sync master 510 monitor display problem

It may be that the LCD monitor will not display all screen resolutions so you may need to change your resolution to match the desired resolution and refresh rate of the LCD. In your case the computer should be outputting:

1024x768 pixels
60 Hz

You can change these settings by right clicking on the desktop and clicking properties and they're under the settings tab. Change the screen resolution by moving the slider to the recommended setting (1024x768)

and

under the advanced button click the "monitor" tab - make sure the screen refresh rate is set to 60 hertz (60 hz)

Monitor goes black

Does it show a picture in safe mode? If it does you might want to install drivers specific to the Monitor if you can find them.
