It appears your display adapter is set to a different refresh frequency or resolution,
either accidentally or due to some power glitch.
If you cannot set the resolution because this message is preventing you from getting to the
display settings window, try rebooting your PC in Safe Mode. It'll take a while longer
than usual, but when you're finally running, try setting your display adapter to the
1280x1024 60Hz settings. This is available under "Advanced->Adapter->List all modes".
To reboot in safe mode, try pressing the PF8 keys repeatedly after the POST messages
disappear just after turning the power on. This only works if this key is enabled to
operate from the BIOS settings.
To get to the BIOS setup, Look at the first messages displayed on your screen indicating what key to press. It's usually the Delete or PF2 key, but different BIOS manufacturers use different keys.
Once inside the BIOS setup, find the way to enable the PF8, PF9, PF10, keys. Save your
settings and reboot.
Now you may try PF8 again to go to Safe Mode.
Good Luck!
