Recently, My Toshiba 43U6663DB started showing snow on half of its screen. The issue is intermittent not always present, but has been getting worse. Sometimes it doesn't show for days, sometimes it wont go away for days. Where should I check first? I would upload images if I could just find out how Regards, Mario
You may have dirty connections on the ribbon cable they can be cleaned with an aerosol.
Testimonial: "What specific type of alcohol does it need to contain?"
Look for a reset button.

Not sure if I just got lucky or if the problem is solved..I hooked up my Sharp Aquos LC-32D64U the other night and I had the blue audio box pop up. Mine was only in Mono and would not switch to Stereo...Well, Local cable company is of of Hi-Def boxes but I thought what if my Digital box is bad/old or has some sort of problem. I went down to comcast cable company switched to a different digitial box..came home, hooked it up and so far no blue audio box, plus now it shows that it's in stereo..good luck

The backlight inverter is dropping out, on the older lgs the backlight inverter is separate from the power supply, if this is the case you can only obtain it with a new panel.
otherwise the newer lgs have the inverter built on the power supply.
in this case you can replace the entire power board.

You need to go into the back of set and look for the wire connection to the board that is top center (looking from the back of the set). The wire plug will be about 1 and a half to 2 inches wide with several wires on it. Carefully unplug the wire going to that board and take a pencil eraser and clean the contacts gently and carefully. Plug it back up. The wire mentioned will come from the main board (with all the jacks and connections).
