Why wont my ipod or external hard drive work when i plug it into my samsung dvd-1080p9 dvd players? the menu comes up but its blank. why is this?

The ipod won't work with it, that's just how it is.

The external HDD should work though, what file format did you use for it? When you connect it to your computer, does it show information on it? If it's formatted in NTFS, try formatting it in FAT32.

It can be formatted as the wrong type but more than likely it just doesn't recognize the files... and im pretty sure you have to put an ipod into drive mode to use it like that on things its not intended to be an "ipod" on

Usb on bd610 lg won't work

I don't understand this term: "choose either dvd or usb menu". Do you mean instead ""choose either dvd or cd menu? I've used many usb hard drives and I've never seen such a "menu".

I have a PS42B541 plasma TV and a 1080P9 DVD player, but the HDMI interface is not working at all. The DVD player is sending the video signal to the TV, but not the audio signal. Also Anynet is not working...

This is a compatibility problem between this model of samsung dvd player and samsung B model tvs. the only solution to fix this problem is disabling anynet option on samsung B model tvs.

Samsung wont play entire divx movie

If you are talking about the fact that this player zooms picture when playing divx and does not allow manual correction, my solution was to go out and buy a pioneer player today (DV-220VK). It's strange as the samsung plays normal dvd format fine but they have obviously got the divx playback wrong. So far the pioneer has been great!

External hard drive and ipod

It really doesnt matter, you will just have to have the hard drive plugged in when you sync you ipod or want to listen to music with your ipod. The only thing i have to say about it is if the external hard drive is if its connected to your computer with a USB rather than a firewire, then it might be slower to load than if you keep it on an internal hard drive. But it will work and wont be very slow, just slower.
