I have a Sony Bravia XBR-65x850B and the ARC HDMI port broke a pin. I replaced the main board, but the tv won't power on.

The indicator LED flashes red & green. I've tried doing the software update but nothing happens. Putting the old board back in and the TV works.

Hold The Off Button for 20 sec should make clicking noise switch off at power and on again should be working

SOURCE: Sony Bravia television hdmi stopped working

Installing a new software update will this issue. All you need is a compatible USB flash drive. Go to support on Sony.com. Look up your tv model and if there is an update, just follow the instructions to install it yourself. I have a KDL-46S5100 and this worked great. Most likely it has a power supply module problem. Have it looked at by a qualified service company.

Hi it sounds like it could be an issue with board that powers the lamp ,it's called the ballast.When you put a new lamp in the ballast has to provide more power ,when it starts to go weak it will not light up.Sometimes you can put your old lamp in and will work fine.Try partstore.com they might have it right there.Hvae a blessed one!

I have a Sony 65 XBR-65X850B non-android and all of a sudden it would click off and click on simultaneously. Any idea on what the problem would be?
It amazes me how many people change boards not knowing much about fixing TV's or how the boards work and what each is supposed to do, such a waste of money. According to Sony service information you're getting the code for over current draw of the LED backlight circuit. Several diodes in the strip are bad, this set is edge lit it only has one strip with a defusing screen to spread the light. IF you can find a replacement strip that should fix the set but like most Sony parts they are expensive and hard to find in a lot of cases. If you find one another thing to watch for is getting the defusing screen back in correct or the picture won't look right, also the screen is quite heavy in this set and must be handled with suction cups, if you try to remove or replace it without them there is a good chance you will break the screen.

Does anyone knows why an orange led flashes 3 times on the FB1 board that seems to trigger a reset of the TV's POWER ON SELF TEST causing the set to go into a cycle of booting and re-booting.
you always power on external boxes

wait till they settle then power on the TV etc

and look up the box on its input or switch the box to standby
power on the tv
then power on the TV and wait like 1 min

then power on any scart or hdmi input
then any TV will auto switch to the last detected input

i want to clarify first the problem sir so as of now the problem with your tv won't power on then you are using again the old main board is that right ? when you use the new replacement main board the tv is functioning will the only problem is that the HDMI / DVI inputs doesn't work. and now you encountered power supply problem like won't start up or something that cut the supply in which the stand by indicator is turn off so as my idea it has a problem with the old board. but before you come up with the board making sure all the connectors coming from the power supply is properly connected to the main board as will as flexible and lvds cable for the T-con board is properly inserted.just let me know if is that what you are asking for so i can give you additional solution thanks for consulting the fixya.

This tv only a week olds,should never having this problems already.The tv should be return and get a new tv for the replacement,this tv have tv Tuner signal board or tv power supply board distrubution problems.Even when the store test it out it work,don't take that tv back.Insit they give a new tv for the replacement.
