Samsung Gear s2 won't charge - gets very hot in the charger and the charging light blinks red

Blinking light means charging error. Call tech support and they will replace battery for you for free.

I am posting an answer to my own question... I called Casio Customer Service and gave them the model # and problem. They instantly sent me out a brand new battery. Turns out they have had a lot of problems with these batteries and will replace them absolutely free of charge.

I had this exact same problem. Here's a solution. I had to do it about 7 times and others on Amazon said they had to do it about 20 times. But it does work! My light is a solid red as we speak! Good luck!

My NP 20 gave me the flashing red light of death and I got Casio to replace it. Then I had the same problem with my second NP 20 so I dug around for a way to fix it and I found the following advice on a site called FixYa. It worked instantly and I didn't risk ruining my battery.

Worx has had issues with their chargers and their batteries. They don't seem to last as long as the machine does. A simple voltmeter test of the charger and any battery will tell the story. The charger's output rating should be printed on it and the battery also. Touch test leads from voltmeter to the two and check.
