Have you tried it on another battery? Sounds like your old battery is stuffed!

SOURCE: inovix imp-1112 mp3 player problems

Hi. I've had similar problems with the same model.

Have you tried a Firmware re-install yet? If not, do that first using the CD supplied with it.

Whilst it's plugged into your USB port, it'll hopefully also get a bit of a charge.  I notice on mine that the player will only charge from the USB port when the side on/off switch is in the 'on' (up) position, although there are times when the computer will 'reject' the player with the switch in this position - a series of 'ding-dongs' as it connects and disconnects from the USB port!

If this happens to you, just keep trying!  Come back to it each day, and try another Firmware re-load!

Mine took a few days, but then decided to come to life - weird machine!

SOURCE: charging Black and Decker Simple Start

okay people... this is a long one, but I just did it for two units that were having this problem and it worked both times.
The problem is the unit sat on the shelf and doesn't have enough power to operate its charging cycle.
Take an extension cord and plug in the outlet charger while you also plug it into your cigarette lighter... now attempt to charge it (you will hear the familiar alarm). Now, turn on the LED light... after a short time, turn off the light and the unit will begin to charge regularly. You can then use one of the chargers to finish the job.
By doing this you are providing plenty of power to the battery while the light drains it at a slower rate... kinda forcing the battery to condition/cycle; it's just allowing the battery to take the charge. Hope this helps.

Black & decker 40 volt battery is put on charger it flashes the green light twice then the red light flashes continueously qwhat could be the problem

hi, have you seen this ?

Now i don't think that's the issue , it more likely the cells won't take a charger or the bms electronic board has failed ,
with those battery packs it can be a electronics problem or a failed cell ,

One thing you might want to check is the actual connection to the battery pack..i seen a issue here where there is a bad connection , the charger won't charge

I just bought the black and decker string trimmer 20V Max this morning. Went to charge the battery, and the red light on the charger flashed and did this for an hour. What does this mean?

When the light is solid red, the batteries are charging.
A flashing red LED light indicates that the charger detects abnormal batteries or the battery temperature is abnormal.
When the light is a solid green, the batteries have completed their charge.

Black n decker lithium battry charger keeps flashing red

My 20V battery was stored completely discharged for over 8 months. After all that time I bet the battery was holding no charge whatsoever. When you plug a completely drained battery to a charger the charger will experience a big demand in current and will fault out, flashing red. So we need to put just a little bit of charge in the battery for the charger to start working. What I did is with the battery in charger unplug and plug the charger like 10 times. Every time you plug it in it will send voltage to the battery for a split of a second before the charger fails. Eventually the battery will get enough charge for the charger to start working.

What does the code F02 mean for a smart battery charger

It means one of two things. Either you do not have a good connection from the charger to the battery, check and clean the clamps and terminals, or the battery has too low a charge. A smart charger needs to measure the existing charge before it will work.

Will 18 volt black & decker charger over charge battery

Hello Howard, There are two different kind of cordless drill chargers. One is a smart charger that will not overcharge your battery. It usually has a stand alone base that the battery plugs into and sometimes may have a red and/or a green light to let you know it is charged. This charger will stop charging when the battery is fully charged after an hour or less. The other one is a dumb charger that can overcharge your battery if left on the charger too long. This charger usually has a square or rectangular transformer that plugs directly into your wall receptacle. This charger may take up to eight hours to fully charge your battery and will continue to charge until you unplug it.

I don't have a manual for my small Black & Decker Smart Charger. I'm trying to charge the battery on my '07 Honda Rebel 250cc. It has settings for 2/6/12 volt batteries. How do I hook it...

Hi,

You just need to set black & decker charger to 12V . Don't make mistake while connecting + / - leads. + lead usually come with Red color cable. You can use the AVO tester to justify the lead cable. The charging time is normally about 10 -12 hours (or just just check the status on your charger display). If your charger does not has trickle charge facility, you have to disconnect your charger after 12 hours continuous use.

Also, you can find the guidance about your charger here :

My porter cable 19.2v model 8605 battery charger

Porter Cable has not offered a replacement for their poorly designed 19.2V chargers. I had the same problem and happen to like my drill and circular saw. I found a universal charger called a model number CHUN-2420. Google it--I got mine for $27 plus shipping. All you need to do to make this work is splice 3 wires.

My charger is a PC model 8624, so the instructions might vary slightly between the chargers. Remove the six screws on the bottom of your PC charger. Remove the bottom section. Remove the screw(s) that attach the circuit card to the plastic housing. Disconnect the 3 pin white charging connector from the circuit card, and cutoff the connector. Discard the circuit card and power cord. Cut the 3 conductor (red/yellow/black) cable coming out of the Chun-2420 approximately 2' from the charger. Splice these three wires to the three wires in the charger housing that connect to your battery. In my situation, Red/Red, Yellow/Yellow, White/Black. To verify, red=positive, black/white=negative, yellow=temperature sensor. Wrap the red/yellow/black cable with electrical tape where it exits the PC charger through the power cord hole. Re-attach the bottom.

When do i know when the battery is chagered

On most chargers the light will flash when it is charging and stop flashing when it is fully charged. It may also have 2 lights that indicate when it is charged. Or it may have a yellow light that turns green when it is charged.
