This is becoming a theme with Samsung TV's, Samsung have extended warranty cover for some customers with this problem, have a look at this post for more info and the link to Samsung:

You have dead pixels , It may cost more to fix than getting a new tv, ill recommend calling samsung and talking to them to see if your still under warranty. Thanks -JC

It is most likely a bad battery. Also, if you can find another charger like the one you have you could check to see if the charger itself is the problem. In my experience, the battery is the likely culprit.
