SOURCE: Wire kit for a Audiovox BA200 200 Watt base tube

There are 5 wires to connect to the BA-200 for proper operation. 1. Red Wire with Fuse: Connect this wire to a source of + 12 volts which does not turn off with the ignition key. It may also be connected directly to the po~itive (+) terminal of the battery. 2. Black Wire: Secure this wire using a screw or bolt on a grounded metal surface of the vehicle. Clean-away any rust, dirt, or paint from the surface to make sure a good connection is made. 3. Blue Wire: This wire activates the BA-200 when the stereo system is turned on. Connect it to the "Power .Antenna" lead from your car stereo. If your car stereo does not have or you cannot locate the Power Antenna lead, the blue wire can be connected to a source of + 12 volts which is turned on and off with the ignition switch. In this case, the BA-200 will be activated whenever the ignition switch is turned on, whether the car stereo is on or off. 4. Green Wire: Splice this wire to the wire going to the positive (+) terminal (sometimes indicated bya red dot) of the left speaker of your stereo system. 5. G ray Wire: Splice this wire to the wire going to the positive ( + ) terminal (sometimes indicated bya red dot) of the right speaker of your stereo system. You Need to order this piece trough the manufacturer, with out this piece the sub is useless, i am guessing around $20-$30 for it

I have 2 hots from 240 raceway and common neutral a 250 watt bulb on 1 hot a 40 watt bulb on other hot cut neutral wire they stay on but 40 watt gets bright the 250 watt goes dim why is that

You change circuit from parallel to series..
In parallel (with neutral connected) each bulb receives full voltage, and then each bulb runs at watt rating.
In series (with neutral cut) the circuit is still complete through the two hots... except the voltage drops after each bulb... which affects the watt output on each bulb.

My audiovox system is not producing the large amount of sound i want it to how do i fix this problem

That's a subjective question. How loud is enough?

http://audiovox2.info/docs/common/DV1201/DV1201_OM.pdf <<< dead link at audiovox

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Audiovox-DV1201-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/363ag023/t/2/

Is this a sudden onset problem or just a general disappointment with the audio performance?

If the latter, I wouldn't expect much from a 'system' that weighs in under 30 lbs and has no published 'specs' that conform to a 'watts/channel at (freq range) and < xx% total harmonic distortion'.

If you can find a power consumption figure on the unit, multiply it by about .4 and spread that across all the speakers.
