Try checking the sound settings on the TV. You might have something selected that is causing this.

Hi, go into your menu and turn off closed captioning, it may be marked "cc" or spelled out as "captioning" but either way just turn it "off" and end of problem, Happy Holidays, BMW Rider

SOURCE: osd main controls locked/unlocked pops up every 5 seconds

Hi,

Press the Menu button ( marked OK) for one minute, or more, and a blue/red menu list should appear on screen.

Using the adjust button (immediately to the left of the OK button) by pressing the arrows at each end up or down as required you can enter the menu and select an action by scrolling.

At the end of the list of possible adjustments on the left of the screen (brightness, contrast, etc) is the Reset section.

On the righthand side of the screen is a flashing Yes No choice which automatically alternates.

The trick is to select the Reset choice on the left and while selected press the OK button when the Yes alternative on the right of the screen is flashing.

You VDU should then Reset and all will be well.

SOURCE: The channel information/display won't stop popping up every few seconds.

What you all need to do is get away from a coax cable connection. If you have a cable box, or satellite box, take the coax cable off and use red, white, n yellow rca composite cables to connect your recievers to the tv. if you dont have a cable box, either get one, or get a converter box and use a tuner outside of the tuner within the unit. The tuners in those tv's are built to show you when you experience signal fluctation(which is normal with a coax cable) and thats why the box keeps popping up on its own. good louck to you all with this problem

SOURCE: The Volume Screen on my monitor keeps popping up

Try putting pressure on the monitor near the buttons. There might be a short or some type of stress pressing the buttons.

I dont have sound on my laptop

A general case might be to take the stereo headphone output of the laptop and feed it a set of left and right line level (not microphone level) inputs to the soundboard. Radio Shack sells a cable that has a typical mini stereo headphone plug on one end and a pair of RCA Phono plugs on the other end. If the soundboard does not have phono jack inputs you will need some type of adapter plug on the ends of the cable phono plugs to match the soundboard's connector.

You then experiment with the laptop's volume control setting (start low) and the soundboard's input level control to get undistorted sound with minimum noise and hum. If you can not get rid of the hum, you probably need to add a ground loop isolation box (also available from Radio Shack, I believe) to reduce or eliminate the hum. __________________

My computer is not showing the sansa clip logo when connected

Depending on how many songs that you loaded the last time you used the player, it may stay on "Writing" for quite some time. Eventually, it will go away and go back to charging.

Make sure the hold switch was not accidentally engaged.

    To force recognition:
disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).

    Reset

Try a different set of headphones. If the new headphones do not resolve, then the mp3 player needs to be replaced.

    Last ditch effort:
    Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Possible problems: * The TV set may be unplugged. * A fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or switched off. * The remote control unit (RCU) may be disabled. Solutions: * Make sure the TV/VCR are plugged in and the wall switch is on. * Check the fuse or circuit breaker. Test the outlet with a lamp. * Replace the RCU's batteries: if this fails exchange the unit.
