My 2002 Sebring with infinity amp had the factory radio plug cut off, I need to know what wires are what so I can hook up another head unit

it wouldn't be advised unless there are rca connections into the amp. these are the same as the inputs in the back of the jvc. It is possible to connect into an amplifier using speaker cable but i wouldn;t advise doing this unless you know what your doing.

well, if you go to crutchfield.com you can find everything you need for way cheaper than a 100bucks. i own the same jeep and have installed everything without bypassing my amp..it sounds great. just check that site out and give them a call. they will hook you up

There is two ways you can do this you can find the turn on wire for the amp and hook it up to the amp turn on wire from the radio (this is the bootleg way and sound might cutout when you turn the radio up)

The best way to go is to go to best buy or your local sound shop and get a bypass harness for a dodge infinity system(go this way so you won't have rny problems)

SOURCE: NEED STEREO WIRE COLORS FOR 1988 BMW 735I

red = constant live 12v
brown = negative ground
violet = ignition live 12v
white = electric antenna (rear screen)
the speakers will be twisted pairs, i can not remember which is left and right but the grey stipe and brown strip are negative the others are positive.

If in doubt get a pro to install for you as you could cause damage if you connect wrongly.
