We cannot turn off the lock on our ceramic cooktop and it keeps on beeping.

We have a Becken ceramic cooktop that we locked earlier(with pressing the little key). Now the little key is read but it's beeping at longer intervals. We cannot turn it off or on. Pressing on/off or key "button" long time doesn't help What can we do?

Try cutting power to it to reset electronics. If that doesn't work, then most likely a control issue

SOURCE: Remove ceramic cooktop

grouch, kill the power to the cooktop. You are going to have to remove the mounting brackets from undernieth and push the cooktop up. After it's up from it's installation position remove the side and back screws holding the top to the botom. Remove the burner knobs and it should come apart. Sounds like you have a bad burner switch. SOURCE: need help to unlock the cooktop

You will have to hold the lock button down for 3 or 5 seconds for it to unlock. If this doesn't help, it could be a stuck key pad or a problem in the circuit board.
Thanks/Mike

SOURCE: Whirlpool Gold ceramic cooktop removal.

the safest way for a home owner to do this is turn the main breaker off to the house that is the safest way. Then poll the cover plate off the box in th wall with the two screws. not the screws on the round conduit. Then pull out the wire nuts that hold the wires together and un screw them to separate wires I would label them so you know what ones went together. After top is in just reverse the proses above.

Domain ceramic cooktop cec70 will not turn off

If your ceramic cooktop model CEC70 is not turning off, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the controls: Ensure that you have properly followed the instructions to turn off the cooktop. Some models may require you to press and hold a specific button or combination of buttons to power off the cooktop. Refer to the user manual for your specific model for detailed instructions on turning it off.
2. Power cycling: Try power cycling the cooktop by turning off the power at the circuit breaker or unplugging it from the power source. Leave it unplugged or with the power off for a few minutes before plugging it back in or turning the power back on. This can sometimes help reset the controls and resolve any temporary issues.
3. Control lock: Check if the cooktop has a control lock feature that might be activated. Some models have a lock function to prevent accidental changes to the settings. Look for a button or key combination that activates or deactivates the control lock. Refer to the user manual for instructions specific to your model.
4. Contact customer support: If the issue persists, it is recommended to reach out to the manufacturer's customer support or consult a professional technician who specializes in appliance repairs. They will be able to provide further guidance or arrange for a service visit to diagnose and fix the problem.
Remember, when dealing with electrical appliances, it's always important to prioritize safety. If you encounter any unusual or potentially hazardous situations, such as smoke, sparks, or strong odors, immediately turn off the power supply and contact a professional technician for assistance.

What does error code L means on the delonghi cooktop

The L indicates that the child lock feature has been enabled. This ensures that the burners do not function while you clean the cook top and that a child can't turn on any burners.

The procedure depends on your cook top model. For some induction models, to toggle the child lock feature off, press the front right burner zone display and the booster function key (circle with a solid circle inside on the right of the selector zone) simultaneously. Then press the front right burner zone display again until the L disappears from the display.
See page 23 of the manual for the Delonghi DEIND804 available here: https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/public/manuals/Delonghi-DEIND804-Induction-Cooktop-User-Manual.pdf .

For an electric ceramic cooktop DTCH808, to turn off the child lock completely, press the bottom right + in a circle and the - in a circle (in the center surrounded by 4 of the + in a circle areas) simultaneously and then release the keys. Press the - in a circle again. See page 21 of the manual here: https://www.delonghi.com/Global/InstructionManuals/EN/EN-DTCH80B_im.pdf .

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model of your Delonghi cook top if these instructions do not apply to your cook top.

Our Frigidaire Gallery induction cooktop is 'locked'. How to unlock?

Press and hold the keypad with the padlock icon until you hear a beep. This should be about 3 seconds. This will toggle the lock on and off. I used the documentation for the Frigidaire FGIC3067MB to check this. On this model, the lock keypad is to the left of the Keep Warm keypad. https://www.frigidaire.com/Kitchen-Appliances/Cooktops/Induction-Cooktops/FGIC3067MB/ . The manual is here: http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Lassomption/318205604en.pdf . The control panel is shown on page 5 and the lock function is shown on pages 6 and 9.

I hope this helps.

My whirlpool gold cooktop has the control lock button lit up- i can't turn on any buners?

Hello there and welcome to fixya
This is a fairly common issue with these
These cooktops have a internal memory built into them and if they get locked they need to be reset
SO what you will need to do is to unplug the power to the cooktop and leave it sit for 1 hr and do not touch ok then after the hour is up tunr on the power to the cooktop you may hear a audiable beep sound or a click sound this is normal now press the cancel button and you should be all right from here but if not please post me back a comment and tell me what is going on and i will give you further troubleshooting steps ok ?
Best regards Mike

Have a baumatic ceramic hob displayin letter 'L'

Got the same problem, and remembered I've kept the manual book
L means locked. I dont know how Ive managed to do this as well

Anyway it says:

Cancelling the key lock
After switching ON the control the child safety feature can be deactivated. Here it is necessary to simultaneously operate the front right cooking-zone-select-key and the MINUS-key and then operate the MINUS-key alone. If all steps hae been carried out in the right order within 10seconds the key lock gets cancelled and the control is OFF. Otherwise the input will be considered incomplete, the control remains locked and switches-OFF after 20 seconds.

After a renewed switching-ON/OFF key all displays show 0", the display dots are blinking and the control is ready for ooking. If a cooking zone is "hot", "H" will be displayed instead of the static 0".

Followed their instructions & still not worked. ,I am still confused and baffled after these instructions........................
