Same problem started happening two days ago and ever since. I called LG and the product falls under a 3yr product warranty according to them (from my original purchase date of January 20, 2007). They will send packing slips to me so I can send the defective unit back to LG. I was told I am eligible for a replacement monitor - which will be shipped to me within 10 to 14 days (consecutive days, not business) - although I'm not sure what I'm being sent in return. My suspicion is that this monitor issue is a known issue by LG and they are quietly replacing the unit to those who follow through by calling CS.

Tips: Have your original purchase date on hand (in the form of a receipt) just in case they want proof of purchase.

Check the cables... if defected replace it... also try monitor self test... buy disconnecting... the VGA or The DVI cable from the back of the tower..... if the test does not apear the problem is surely with the monitor

Ahh the same thing has happened to my monitor! Mine unfortunately is 1 month over warranty. Apparently this is a common problem with this model!
