Black marks on screen i think it needs a degaus
LCD monitors do not need degaussing. They operate in a completely way to CRT monitors.
Tiny black marks are most likely dead pixels, if the black marks are large then the LCD screen may be damaged (cracked glass).
This type of damage cannot be repaired simply, the screen needs to be replaced.
I suggest you put your money towards a new LCD monitor.
My Screen has built in speakers but dont work
What do you mean by reboot the PC?
If you used System Restore, or reinstalled the OS (Operating System) you need to reinstall the drivers for the hardware you have. Some places to find and get them are..
Windows Updates ~ When you go to Windows Update, do not "Express" update, rather "Custom" - Once it has loaded the screen, on the left hand side you will see hardware. Download the hardware drivers there. They work 98% of the time, and Windows Update is pretty good now days so it might fix your problem easy.
If not, search http://www.driverguide.com/ and look and download them manually, or the free program I use to get information on them, and for the program to identify what driver your missing, and give you the information to look for it on the manufactures website, is DriverMaX
http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/
You can check if you are missing drivers by going to Start>(Right Click)My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager. If you see any drivers that are yellow or with a ! those are the drivers you need to find, download and install.
If after these steps, no drivers needed updating, and nothing was needed to be installed, please do clarify it & with detail and I will assist you further otherwise it should fix your problem. That's what I've helped other people with, and it's worked.
Good luck!
MONITER LIGHT IS GREEN BUT ONLY SHOWS A NORMAL SCREEN FOR 1/2 SECOND THEN TURNS BLACK
HI. I had the same problem with mine. It would flash the screen on for a split second and then turn black, the whole time the power light remained green. Upon opening up the case, I pulled the combo power supply board/inverter board out for inspection. I noticed one of the capacitors had a bulge on top indicating it was bad. It was the the 680uf 25v capacitor. I desoldered it, and soldered in the new one. After hooking everything back up, bingo!! Monitor now works perfectly. I couldn't find an exact match to the capacitance locally, but I had a 1000uf 35v cap in my utility box. It worked fine as a replacement. You can usually go within 30 percent of tolerance and be alright. Just don't go under on capacitance or voltage. I hope this helps.
HELP!
What are you trying to do? I need more information? Are trying to connect an LCD monitor to your laptop, desktop? What?

Hey I have an LG Flatron L1718S screen that work fine for a few weeks then suddenly switch off for a few days ,then switch on again,it's a irritating cycle. Please HELP
- Larry Ng Jul 15, 2021that is just a YEAR 2007 LCD computer monitor, it needs a computer to work. if it fails in a 2nd PC ,
if that test fails, the monitor is bad. (hardward failure, monitor.
the tests are simple,
it fails on 2nd good PC, what can be more simple that test ANY 14 year old monitor on a 2nd good PC.
when dead do this.(test2)
they are all here when dead again use a FLASH LIGHT. (or in UK a low carbon foot print TORCH)<< joking.

all monitors older than 2010 do this . (has CCFL inside and that is never fun now)
the cure is newer monitors 2011 to now called LED monitor.s or OLED.
the tubes are cold cathode florescent tubes. (back lamps.) (have 5 classic fail symptoms not just dead)
they are short lived,
laptops and monitors both back then. 20,00hours on the clock and go bad. bank on it.
the 3 failures are CCFL, PSU board, and logic board
#1 is CCFL the all died long ago, on average about year 2003 (07 +5= 12, 2012) at 20,000 yours boom dead.
or intermittent.
PSU is here:
https://pcdied.com/monitors_and_screens/...
below is logic board.
one of the 3 fail, CCFL tubes dead is like 99%
we retire them if the CCFL test fails. (using bench PSU to test them) but you have non of that so. upgrade

logic board. (CCFL tubes dead, PSU dead, or logic board dead) and or thermally failing , and bad.

99% of all monitors are all dead. due to those silly low live CCFL back lamps.
or the 2cards inside that can fail too. PSU card +HV CCLF power or the Data card is dead.
99.9% of folks seen these facts, upgrade now.
high voltage inside 600v on the CCFL pins
