If the tray will not open then there is a component blown out in the dvd player itself and unless you are capable of working with SMC`S (surface mount components) then you had better get professional assistance. The replacement part is only .50 cents but is a nightmare to replace. If there is a disk stuck in the drive and you want it back you`ll have to remove the top cover from the unit and locate a square hole on the side of the drive and insert a paper clip size pin to release the door then push the tray out.
Very seldom fuse is a factor, most common problem with tray not ejecting is a worn or loose belt slipping on the motor not able to eject. Sometimes can be hardened grease which makes it difficult to load or eject as well. As justaskjoe suggested look for small needle sized hole somewhere along trays lid in front of machine and use straightened paperclip to unload tray, if none found then unfortunately techsupport is the only way to remedy this.
Great picture no audio
MAny DVD's have a manual release. If you have one look for a tiny hole near the tray. Straighten out a paper clip and insert the end of the wire into the hole. Puse and the tray should open.
