I have a LG 19EN33T-B and it works well with windows 8 but when I upgrade to windows 10, the monitor couldn't be connected to my pc. Why?

ok, a simple hardware question only. w10 could careless about PSU. (facts) mobo is micro atx size 24.4cm x 24.4cm
not powering up has many causes, even simply stuck in sleep mode. (power on button held for 10seonds and released last is 1 cure. of about 20 causes (up to)
GA-F2A78M-D3H (rev. 3.0)or rev. 4.0????? rev is on bottom left of mobo, normal tower case. no case told
the PSU is called ATX and all work here 500 to 750watts
24 pin power is normal
but CPU power uses 8 pin power plug PSU.marked ATX12v
psu lacking 8 pin, can use 4 to 8 adpater.
vast here work, in real ATX case not micro cases.

are all fans dead.> that is dead PC.
the monitor must be good and connected the the VGA jack
if using GPU card then it must connect to the monitor
the BIOS screen must work or the PC is dead or GPU card is dead.
strip the PC down ,any thing in the PC shorted will make PC dead.
if strip down tests fail the PSU may be bad is its fan dead too?
both power connectors most be connected above or PC will be dead.

During the windows 7 to 8 transition, some PC models had different BIOS versions from factory, related to the installed OS.
Windows 8 PC got an UEFI BIOS
Windows 7 PC got a "Legacy" BIOS
So PC with Windows 7 installed from factory can't use the "not for upgrades" BIOS version, even if they were upgraded to Windows 8 or 10, since the factory BIOS was a different version compared to PC with Windows 8 from factory.
unzip the downloaded file, browse to WIN folder of the unzipped files and run the flash.bat file

Made a video showing how I reverted back to Windows 7. The way I did it is only available for a month after the Windows 10 upgrade but I also show other ways to go back.

if this is windows 8 it will bypass the bios entry option via what is called a fast startup. You have to do a full shutdown and then power on the Windows 8 Laptop to see the Bios option to press whatever key to enter bios.

As your question was vague I have guessed this is what you are having difficulty with. As I have come across this fascinating feature of Windows 8 and apparently Windows 10 also.

The specs say this machine has a Core Duo processor, so it should support Windows 8. However, the RAM limit for this model is 2GB, so it'll be sluggish on 8. Windows 7 would be better.

It has a DVD drive, so it SHOULD be just a matter of buying the Windows 8 DVD and booting off the DVD into Windows 8 Setup. A 'clean install' is recommended; you may not be able to upgrade from your current version of Windows (this machine came with XP and Vista).

If you're talking about using an LG TV as a computer monitor, the generic display driver will suffice. I've never seen any noticeable improvement on display or features when Windows displays the monitor correctly or as a generic. If your resolution is too low and you couldn't increase it, the problem is likely your resolution setting or video card driver, not your monitor driver.

Easy Set requires proper communication between the software and the monitor in order to work properly. To do this it has to go through Windows and the graphics driver. Not every setup is going to support this. If the dual web mode cannot “see” a monitor it supports, it will be grayed out.

I have an nVidia FX 5500 and latest driver.
So it seams I need a PC upgrade.

Hi, Afraid the only operating system now is windows 10 on any PC unless your using a Mac system. Once you upgrade to windows 10, everything will automatically set everything correct for you & you will be surprised how it will speed up your system! this is the best Microsoft release operating system they have ever made.
