In iphone4 speaker sound not working
The speaker is sometimes disabled when you connect the 30 PIN sync chord. If the 30 PIN connector is damaged, it can cause the speaker to not work, or to work intermittently. Try using a thin object (like a safety pin or something similarly thin, preferably something non metallic and non conductive) and gently jiggle the 30 PIN connector on the iPhone while playing a sound, (like a music file in the music player). If the sound starts playing again you have found the cause of your problem. Unfortunately if the connector is the problem you will need to be careful in the future when you disconnect your sync chord.
This is most often caused by placing the iPhone into a sync port designed for the iPhone 3GS and earlier models. The iPhone 4 and later needs support to keep it from straining the 30 PIN connector on the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S.
Good Luck.
