needs more power, or how your wired impedance is too low.1.upgrade your power cable2.buy a second battery not a capacitor3. run power cable to the second battery from the + of the from battery the battery from the front4. run at minimum of 4 gauge power wire5. run 4 gauge wire from the alt to the main battery6 run 4 gauge from the negative of the battery to the ground chassis7. run 4 gauge + to the rear battery8 run 4 gauge ground near your amp9. turn down the gain and bass boost, set it a moderate level where you wont hear distortion10. set the bass level from your stereo deck at a moderate level also.find your impedance.look at your woofers and find have a number like 1,2,4 ohm.find out what your amplifier minimum needs to operate in OHM's.look here.http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp

I have an alpine pdx

This really sounds like some component in the amplifier circuit is breaking down under a load, which would require servicing, but I ran across this blog on the web, and they seem to think it's related to the gain, so it might be worth reading:

Good luck, and hope this helps,.

Alpine PDX1.600 amp cuts off

Make sure there's no missmatched impedance. If your sub running 2 ohms then your amp has to be 2 ohms stable. Does the amp blow fuses or get really hot? If it does it can be a fire hazard and I would recommend taking it out of your car. It could be that you don't have sufficient grounding. The grounding needs to be very close to the amp and the paint needs to be thoroughly scratched off. Otherwise could be a blown transistor within the amplifier, you can check this by opening up the amp, running a multimeter and testing the transistors for resistance.

ur speakers are probably connected wrong so diconected and and connected differently. and if ur speakers a dual coil see if they connected it if not do this. only if ur speaker is double coil meanin if ur speaker has 4 connections for speaker wire. and if it does than connect possitve to negative from one coil to another and negative to positive from the other one than from one of the coils connect the wires going to ur amp positiv to positiv and negative to negative bringind the sub to 2ohm constant
try that see if it works. only if u have a double coil subs

Alpine pdx 1.000 keeps cutting out

You are going to want to make sure all your power wires and grounds are 4 gauge as well as the wire leads to and from the capacitor-4 gauge also. make sure you have a very good ground - the power wire from the battery should hit a distribution block-from the dist. block a 4 gauge should go to the capacitor another 4 gauge to the mono amp and another to the 4 channel amp -every component should have a good solid ground even if you have to bust out a grinder and a drill and some self tapping sheet metal screws and go nuts on it- see if that helps you

Red light on PDX 1.600 alpine amp... no sound

Hello zim69zim69zi,

Solid red indicates 4 possible conditions: 1) Short circuit, 2) Current too high, 3) Voltage too high, or 4) Overheated. The most common faults are the short and overheated.

If the fault is intermittent, the amp is probably overheating. If it is a constant fault, anytime the amp is powered up, then I'd recommend that you first check all of the wiring. If the wiring is OK, then you have a voltage or current problem. If it's voltage, the vehicle electrical system is probably causing it. You can check that with a meter. It should be from about 12VDC with the engine off, to about 15VDC with the engine running (alternator putting out). The amp should be able to operate OK up to about 16VDC but as components age, their values change. I'd look for a minimum of 10.8VDC and a maximum of 14.8VDC.

If the problem is overcurrent, the amp itself probably has a defective component causing it to draw too much current. It needs professional repair.

Hope this helps.

I need a Manual for a Alpine Vie-x077 in English and also anyone know why it keeps saying the disc needs to be ejected but it won't

  1. Mechanical Issue: There might be a mechanical problem with the disc drive or the eject mechanism. It's possible that a part is jammed or not functioning correctly.
  2. Dirty or Damaged Disc: If the disc is dirty, scratched, or damaged, the player may have difficulty reading it and thus not ejecting it properly.
  3. System Error: There could be an internal error within the player's software or firmware causing it to not recognize the disc properly or to malfunction when attempting to eject it.
  4. Power Issue: Sometimes, power-related issues can affect the functionality of electronic devices. Ensure that the player is receiving adequate power and there are no loose connections.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  • Turn off the player and then turn it back on to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Try ejecting the disc using the manual eject button (if available). This button is usually a small pinhole near the disc slot. You can insert a paperclip or a similarly sized object into the hole to manually eject the disc.
  • If possible, try using a different disc to see if the problem persists. If other discs work fine, then the issue may be with the original disc.
  • Check for any visible obstructions around the disc slot and remove them if present.
  • If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Alpine customer support for further assistance or consider taking the player to a qualified technician for repair.

Alpine tdm 7543. Is this a model that can switch from green to red lighting?

After researching, it appears that there is no direct evidence suggesting that the Alpine TDM 7543 stereo unit has the ability to switch from green to red lighting. This is an older unit and specific information can be challenging to find. Your best option to get a definitive answer may be to directly contact Alpine's customer service or refer to the original instruction manual.
