I was sewing with my Euro-Pro 9106 and it was working just fine. Tried to sew it started beeping like it was jammed. I have taken out the bobbin, checked for any problems, etc. won't sew. Any advice?

The computer will automatically adjust the needle upper position when the machine is switch on,
and automatically adjust the needle lower position when you start sewing. Please note that it is a
normal phenomenon if you hear a sound coming from the machine (machine adjusting sound)
and feel that the sewing is being delayed. It's not dangerous to sew.
- When operating correctly: 1 beep
- When operating incorrectly: 3-short beeps
- When the sewing machine is in trouble and can't sew: 8 seconds short beeps
It means that the thread is twisted or jammed and the hand wheel axle can't move. Please look
through the "Trouble shooting guide" on page 49 to find the solution. After the problem has
been solved, the machine will continue to sew.


Look for thread wrapped up in hand wheel or in hook/race. See following link for machine instructions.

I think that you mean "needle plate cover". If so, internet search for sewing machine parts companies. or simply internet search for euro-pro 9106 needle plate cover.

Would suggest removing all the thread (upper & bobbin), cleaning the bobbin area thoroughly, then reloading the threads.

Verify it is threaded correctly.

Have yo tried switching it on,and gently moving the wheel back and forth? I wonder how it jammed. Was it from thread or fluff?

Try changing your needle. If it still happens with a new needle, the timing is probably out.

try changing the needle--make sure it's the right type for the fabric being sewed
try rethreading the machine make sure to use every thread guide
make sure the power cord and the foot pedal are securely plugged into the machine
clean under the needle plate for lint and also in the bobbin area
also make sure the bobbin winder spindle is not pushed over to
wind a bobbin
if these suggestions don't help then it would be a good idea to have the machine checked..

My advice would be to NOT use just any oil but only a highly refined clear oil specific to sewing machines and labeled as such. 3 in One oil is good for some other machines but not recommended for electronic machines. I'm also experiencing rough running w/ my model 9106 after sewing heavy denim material. It now jerks from zig zag stitch to straight stitch and will run w/o the foot pedal being pressed. I'll keep looking for answers.

Make sure your needle is in the down position in the material and hold on to the tails of the top and bobbin thread when you begin sewing.
