Sorry it took so long to answer your question about the Clock/Radio. This look like a problem with the Clock/Radio's Microprocessor. You will need to reset the microprocessor by removing all power sources to the microprocessor. This means removing the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and removing the internal battery (CR2430). After removing all the power sources from the Clock/Radio, let the Clock/Radio set for a period of about 3 hours. This will let the power completely drain from the microprocessor and reset it to the factory settings. You can then reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio should have reset and the functions returned to normal operations. If The Clock/Radio functions have not returned to normal. You will need to let the Clock/Radio's microprocessor drain off the power again and put a new internal battery (CR2430). Then test the Clock/Radio's functions again. The Clock/Radio functions should have returned to normal operation. If you are still having problems getting the Clock/Radio to return to normal operation. You can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-909-1240- Call them between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm central time USA. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for their assistance. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!

Need manual for Travel Companion Model S1500 Alarm Clock

Travel alarm clocks can have varying instructions, depending on the type of clock you are using. Here are some tips for use that will apply to any alarm clock.

  1. Power source
    • Travel alarm clocks will need to have some sort of power source. Depending on the type of alarm clock, it might be battery-powered or it might have a cord that needs to be plugged in. Battery-powered alarm clocks can take mini watch batteries, AAA batteries or sometimes AA batteries. Travel alarm clocks, because of their tiny size, usually have the small batteries that need to be bought from a watch store or a dollar store. Before you leave, make sure you have a working power source and can turn it on.
    Changing the time
    • After you reach your final destination, power the alarm clock on. Now you'll need to set the time and date correctly. Check a watch, cell phone or television to get the exact time and locate the buttons or dials on your alarm clock. On some, there will be a "time" or an "hour" button you need to press and hold to activate the alarm time change. While you are holding it down, turn the dial, press the hour button or press the (+) button until you notice a time change. On others, simply pressing the hour or minute button will let you change the time shown.
    Setting AM/PM
    • The AM/PM option is critical in setting your alarm clock correctly. Make sure the LCD display on your clock has a light beside the correct AM or PM setting, or look for the letters AM or PM on the display. If you get this wrong, the alarm won't go off in the morning!
    Setting alarm time
    • To set the alarm time, look for a button or a switch that says alarm. If there is a switch, move it to the alarm setting. If it is a button, you'll need to hold it down until the time starts flashing, signaling time to change the hours and minutes to the desired alarm time, or hold it down while you press the hours and minutes buttons to reach the alarm time you want.
    Turn alarm on
    • Now double-check that your regular and alarm times are correct by switching the switch back and forth again, or by pressing the alarm/time buttons long enough to read the time set. There should be a picture of a bell somewhere on your LCD display showing that the alarm is set to "on." If there isn't, look for the on/off alarm button and move it to the correct position.
    Music options
    • The last step is finding the alarm wake-up option. Not all travel alarm clocks have this option, but if yours does there will be a switch or button that lets you choose to wake up by a buzzer, the radio, a CD, or another device.

How do I set the alarm so it will activate on weekdays. It only works for Saturday and Sunday. Thanks

Hello

Sure Alarm battery Back-Up System

This SmartSet® Clock Radio includes a Sure Alarm battery back-up circuit that can

wake you up even if the power is 'Off'at the selected wake up time. If your power

is 'Off'at the selected wake up time the clock display will be off and the radio will

not operate, but a separate mini-buzzer will turn 'On'automatically to wake you up,

even if you had selected the "Wake to Radio"option.

The Sure Alarm will sound for 30 seconds and then shut off automatically.

To stop the Sure Alarm buzzer immediately, press the RADIO ON/OFF button.

Pressing the SNOOZE button has no effect during Sure Alarm operation.

Note: In order to maximize the life of the built in lithium battery, please be sure

to set the ALARM 1 and ALARM 2 switches to the "OFF"position if the radio

will be disconnected from the AC outlet for more than a few hours. This will
prevent the Sure Alarm from turning 'On'unnecessarily.

1.) Depress and hold either the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting button.

The display will change from the correct time
to the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 wake up time.

2.) While holding the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting button, depress either the

SET + or - button to move the display ahead or back to your desired wake up
time.

3.) When the desired wake up time appears on the display, release the SET + or

- buttons.

Note: Be sure that you have set the wake up time correctly by observing

the AM indicator. If the AM indicator is 'On'the wake up time is "AM". If the
AM indicator is 'Off', the wake up time is "PM".

4.) When the desired wake up time (AM or PM) appears on the display, release
the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting buttons

I cant find the manual so I dont remember how to set the weekday alarm. Also can you show a picture of what the display should look like when the alarm is set? Or describe it? Thank you.

Press the Alarm button. The weekday alarm symbol will appear. Then press and hold the Alarm button for 2 seconds to enter the set mode (the hour will blink). Use the up/down buttons to choose the hour for the alarm (note the A.M./P.M. if in 12 hour mode). Press Alarm again and the minute will blink. Again use the up/down arrows to set the desired time. Press Alarm once more to exit the set mode.

To activate or deactivate the alarm, press the Alarm button until the weekday alarm icon appears. Then use the up/down arrows to activate or deactivate the alarm. When the alarm is set and active, the time will show. If the alarm has been deactivated, then dashes will appear instead of the time.

The single alarm is set and checked similarly.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(I suspect that the weekday alarm icon continues to display when the alarm is active.)

Setting the Alarm 1 for AM/FM Radio

4. See Note #4 in the Setting Alarm 1 section for instructions on setting the 7-5-2 alarm setting for Alarm 2.

12 hour vs 24 hour read on clock

Push the "mode" button twice to enter the time change function. Once the display is blinking keep pushing the mode button until you see the "pm" icon on the LCD display. When that happens set the clock as you normally would using the 1-4 keys.

Remember to check if the 12 hour clock is set to AM or PM.

Good luck.
