I have a Samsung 40" LED tv that has sound but no picture. You can see an image if you shine a flashlight on the screen. I see no backlights when I take off the back.

I have tested the voltage on the power supply/led board and have good voltage totals on both sides. The only thing that concerns me is when I accidently jumpered the 7 and 8 slots on the power cable to the led strips they all lite up. I was thinking I had bad strips but I am not sure now. Any advice will be appreciated. Samsung model:UN40EH5300FXZA version:UD03 I have pics if needed with voltage totals.

Hi!

Check the backlight circuit, but first, check the power supply of the blacklight circuit, does it feed the backlight circuit or not. If not, it's the power supply circuit, if yes, check the backlight circuit itself, and if it works, check the backlight themselves, the led. Good luck,
