Looking for dust cover hinges for a SL-1900 turntable

It took me about an hour to find this info for you. Problem is that you'd be taking someone's word for it. The answer came from a turntable forum where another person asked what other dust covers fit the pictured turntable (model SL-B303) Several people responded and if you click on this link:
http://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/technics-sl-b303-dustcover-hinges.348163/ , look at the bottom right hand corner of every response on that page.(they are numbered) and you'll see that #1 has the question about the cover for the SL-B303. Scroll down to response #6.
This person says that the SL-B101 and the SL-D303 use the same cover.
Where did he get his info from? It's a risk but if you find another person that says the same thing, chances are it's the right answer. Wish TECHNICS had some sort of official release so that everyone could see what covers fit which turntables.

Check on ebay for that tt and maybe someone has parts listed. Or try the manufacturer but if a unit is more than ten years old parts are usually no longer available.

Dust cover hinges can be like hen's teeth!

The message I am looking it from you shows no above model, but you can ask the makers if they are still around for spare part suppliers. Otherwise it's off to E-Bay to see if anyone has one second hand.

Use masking tape ...two big stands across the platter and a bit to hold the arm in place and some to hold the dust cover shut.

All parts are discontinued for this model. The SL1200MK2 dust cover will not fit this turntable. You can actually have a dust cover made rather simply and cheaply (depending on where you live). Just take the dimensions to a PLEXIGLASS or even a GLASS shop. You can even purchase the Plexiglass yourself, cut it, and glue it together. I would suggest getting it professionally done. You can use any high impact plexiglass. Get something that is resistant to scratches and discoloring.

FYI, the dust covers on this model do not come with hinges. So, you'll have to purchase them separately.

It should be fairly obvious. The only thing I can think of it that the hinges are missing (these slot in to both the lids and the turntable and are easily lost if someone has been using them with the lids off).

If they are missing, it certainly would make it difficult to figure out!
