HTC phone is stuck in bootlap but I do not want to loose any of my data is there a possible fix?

you can try by updating your phone
if the problem remains try factory settings(back up your data)
Mother board has to be replaced from an unauthorized service center.

Use HTC desktop manager and it will let you do it.

All you need do is to HARD RESET the phone.
1. Press down the volume up and down button
2. Briefly press the power button still holding down the volume button
3. release the volume button when the screen flash a reset instruction menu, then press volume down butoon to reset your device.

your explanation doesn't make sense.
True people don't want to lose their data and if not backed up too bad.
Much is already backed up on google and reloads when reset.
Your question fits many who don't own the phone.
Take the phone back where you got it and have them fix it.
There is a problem with the phones boot loader and yes it can mess up on OTA from cell carrier; but mostly it is caused from people trying to root/crack/etc..

I would try flashing the kernel separately via fastboot and seeing if that helps

Seems like your device has some sort of an issue. I'd suggest you update your phone if there are any updates. If that doesn't fix the issue, try re-flashing a ROM.

Turn iphone off. Power on holding power and home at same time for 10 seconds, then release power button but hold home for another 30 seconds. Screen will stay blank but should be in DFU recovery mode. Plug into iTunes and recover.

I have a similar problem my phone is stuck in some kind of diag mode and I can't get the screen to come on but when I plug it in to the computer it says that it is in a data mode if someone can tell me how to get it out of that mode I would be greatfull if you can send the info to [email protected]
