I am using an HDTV HDMI Adapter to connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet to my Proscan TV (model 32LB45Q) and when I switch that that HDMI input source the blue screen displays "No Signal". Its not seeing my tablet. Please advise. I would like to watch my Google Play movies on the TV and from what I understand, this should allow it to connect and play over the TV. Update - I figured it out for myself... (response received didn't help. :( Using the adapter, I found that the Samsung requires an additional adapter tip to extend the length of the connector that goes into the tablet when using the HDTV HDMI adapter. You also have to use the cord and charger that is a geniune Samsung product (or just use the one that originally came with your tablet) to connect the HDTV HDMI adapter. As soon as I switched the TV input to that HDMI port, my tablet and TV were mirrored and displaying my Google Play movies.
It should be pretty much straight forward.
Can you check by setting both tablet and TV to 720p or 1080i?
I am not sure both can support 1080p

Thanks Richard. The Samsung Galaxy S Tab 2 doesn't have a port to connect a mini HDMI, which is why I am using the adapter.
Regarding setting both the tablet to either 720p or 1080i, I'm not able to locate where the option is available to change that setting on the tablet (under settings, so please advise if I need to download an app on Google Play for that & which app it would be.
The TV can be changed to either setting. It's usually on the 1080i setting.
On a side note, I also have an advanced DirecTV receiver and a Wii connected to the TV as well.
