My LG surround system is fine but the blu ray just stopped working. It keeps trying to open and close and then says error, when this doesn't happen.

I have added a blu Ray player that I have spare and connected it via HDMI cable to play but every now and then the original try's to fix itself, very annoying.

My LG Blu Ray player will not play Hunger Games

Had the same problem with my LG Blu Ray player. I don't have the model number handy, but I did download the latest update. The movie nor the special features disc worked. Other Blu Rays I have worked fine. This happened with two copies of the Hunger Games Blu Ray. I returned the original to Target and exchanged for the exact same, still had same problems. I will look for the exact model number later tonight. If anyone has any thoughts, they would be welcome. I'd hate to think my LG Blu Ray player with surround sound that has worked so well for the past 3 years is suddenly out of date with new blu rays. Just seems a bit odd.

That shouldn't happen, what kind of cable are you using? you should try an hdmi cable. its electronic so it either works or doesn't and there shouldn't be any lag at all.

I have a LG LHB335 Blu-Ray home theater system, & a LG TV I can get Full surround sound when the blu-ray is play a DVD but not when just watching Reg TV. I use a HDMI, should I hook up sonething else ?...

LG documentation states:

When you use SIMPLINK function, you have to

connect to the OPTICAL IN 1 jack to enjoy TV
sound to your speaker system.

Basically you need to have the Audio go from TV to receiver and setup receiver to that Input to output surround sound to all speakers.

If you have a cable box or satellite receiver, hook that output into the receivers input and that should work.

My setup is DirectTv HDMI output goes into the LG Home Theater HDMI Input 1, and LG goes HDMI output into the TV HDMI input 1.
so to watch DirectTV, I switch LG Home theater to HDMI Input 1. and TV is on HDMI input 1 (to view LG HDMI output from DriectTV, Blu-Ray, Vudu, etc.)

Just installed a LG WH08LS20 in my computer, everytime I put in a Blu-Ray disc the computer freezes up. Any ideas?

The exact same thing happens to me. It reads Blu-Rays, burns DVDs fine, but when I put in a blank Blu Ray disc to burn, it freezes. As soon as I open the tray, the computer continues as normal as though nothing happened. I can't find anything on what is going on.

Pionner laser disc reader error U1

The drive belt is probably failing. This is a common problem with the CLD-504, actually. It will need to be replaced.
