I recommend to choose a new paint sprayer Wagner Flexio 2000 or 3000. Wagner Flexio 2000 features a new nozzle iSpray design consisting of a two-speed sprayer (hi and lo). While Wagner Flexio 3000 includes a new nozzle iSpray design, the Detail Finish Nozzle, featuring a nine 9 speed settings. Both of the painting solutions have their advantages and disadvantages, more here https://gorillachemical.com/wagner-flexio-2000-vs-3000/.
I haven't much experience with airless sprayers but I have heard the bad language from those who use them.
I expect there is still paint in the business end of the mechanism and an air bubble stuck between that and the new paint fill.
I think the sprayhead will have to be removed or dismantled so the air will be able to escape and allow priming to take place. I suggest spending a little time with the instruction manual.
