Unsure of your model of paint sprayer, however, mine used a 2/3 turpentine to 1/3 paint to spray without clogging. Some people unscrew the paint holder and replace it with a paint can which can hold more of the paint mixture. Hope this helps.

yes the gland packing will go hard from the paint contamination ( even though you washed the unit properly) the secret is to get spares now before they become hard to get talk with paint shops as there may be something you can spray through the system to keep the packing and seals supple

It's probably the paint-I had a problem with certain brands. I started putting a cheesecloth type filter around the uptake to help filter larger particles and it works a lot better.

first problem is the waterbase paints ( ****) the other is how did you mix your paint , you cam trap air in the paint if you padle or stired it without a shaker mixer air will gas out of the paint, tofix this use a foam brush to flaten air bubbles
