SOURCE: I have a Butterball Electric Turkey Fryer that heated up but when I placed the turkey in the fryer the red indicator went off and it lost power , is there a reset button on the fryer

All appliances that produce heat have a thermal cutoff inside to prevent a fire or meltdown. It's a shame they make them so fragile that it may ruin your special occasion. If you cross the wires on the sensor it may run forever but might be a fire hazzard.

I have a Butterball indoor turkey fryer that lost power and the red light went off, is there a reset button on the fryer

There is a thermal cutoff near the heating element just like all appliances that make heat. It's supposed to stop a house fire but makes these appliance companies a lot of money.

Butterball turkey fryer

Absolutely positively make sure the turkey is fully defrosted. Remove all the stuff they put inside the bird, cook that elsewhere.
