I NEED THE INNER POT W/VALVE

element isn't getting hot enough. maybe only heating half way. need to replace element and or controller temp inside without food should reach 425 deg.

I have the same issue. After troubleshooting it, I found that (on my unit) after the fryer has heated up, the microswitch that is pressed when you place the heating element into the fryer no longer makes contact and turns the unit off. This is a nice safety feature when it is operating properly, but is infuriating when you have a turkey that is halfway cooked, but has to complete cooking in the oven or a butane powered turkey cooker. I haven't yet been able to fix this problem. Not sure replacing the part will keep it from happening again. Don't want to bypass the safety switch, but I may have to.

If the settings are not holding true, then the controller is defective. Failure could go both ways, shut off prematurely or not shut down when necessary. Over heating could cause a fire, so replace the device ASAP.
