Minn Kota riptide 55 # copilot. Steers right and wont stop. Could I have the wrong remote. Don't have a foot pedal for it.

if it is not steering with the remote - then the problem could be something as simple as the switching relay,, or a bad pin / wire in the plug,, or it could be a bad servo motor.
the best way to trouble shoot the unit would be to open the case and use volt meter to trace the voltage flow. also make sure you are getting power to and thru the remote as I have seen the control buttons go bad.

SOURCE: Have a minn kota riptide sf 101 thrust 62" shaft.

There is more than the shaft, there is the housing and then everything needs to fit and have correct clearances.....I suggest sell the old one and get a 52 inch new one...
