How to diagnose a hdtv problem

I dont know how you could have a back light seen through the cabinet on the back and not see the picture. The unit uses LED backlights and just one LED can cause the power supply to sense the current change and not power the display. Replacement LED strips are about 75 USD

the problem with your tv (if youve allready replaced the main board) is you have a backlight failure. the board that powers your backlights is called the inverter board. this board only comes with the panel itself and cannot be bought as a single item. if you have any more questions feel free to contact me....

If it's LED or LCD then it's backlights-- just shine flashlight on screen at an angle and see if you can see any movement or bring up menu display and with a flashlight you should be able to see it---as stated above---
Symptom: No picture on screen but LCD TV still has sound.
Solutions: The problem is cause by defective inverter. Replacing inverter will solve the problem---ou cannot see anything at all then it's T-Con board--

You have sound and no picture. It appears to be a case of backlight failure which is common in LED TVs. The problem is technical and involves opening the tv, diagnosing and replacing or repairing the defective board. Please consult some good local TV tech. Good Luck.

The issue with your LCD is the backlight inverters need to be replace..

check to see if there is an image on the screen by putting a light close to it if ther is an image replace the backlight inverter

check other channels, do you see a menu? if nothing can be seen ( on screen display) your backlights are burnt out, get them replaced

try pressing menu to see if you get on screen display,if you get display you have a input problem,check all connections to tv.if that doesn't help i need more info on you're tv setup.
