I have a bernina artista 180... my screen started flashing... I heard it is the s circuit board that needs to be replaced... how much does that cost approx.?

It started flashing a few days ago but then stopped and turned back on... today I just kept flashing and does not turn on any longer... checked the connections... to no avail....

SOURCE: bernina artista 180 keeps warning to check top thread

Refer to your manual for maintenance and clean the machine as indicated. A sensor may be blocked by lint.

If this continues, the machine will need to be serviced by an authorized Bernina repair tech.

SOURCE: fuse blew on bernina 180

Herein is a lesson to very firmly learn .... fuses are rated for a reason .... NEVER, EVER put a bigger fuse in if the last one blew, because it blew for a reason. A fuse is there to protect your equipment from damage and for your safety ... if you put a bigger fuse in and your equipment gets damaged as a result, you've only yourself to blame. Just be thankful it didn't burst into flames and if you think I'm being dramatic ... dont ... fuse 'abuse' is one of the biggest causes of house fires. Whoever 'advised' you to do this wants his/her ears bashed and if you paid money for this advice, you desrve it all back plus the cost of repairing the damage it caused !!!

SOURCE: bernina artista 180 touch screen slow to respond

A slow screen response time could indicate the touch screen or logic board is failing -- both are very expensive to replace (more than what you're paying for the machine.) Ask the seller to get a repair estimate from an authorized dealer, and talk to that dealer to be sure you're getting the full picture.

SOURCE: When i switch on my Bernina Artista 180 it blows

Almost-certainly due to the main switching transistor having blown, however this is not necessarily an easy fix ... very often when this happens it takes a number of other components with it ... I had one last week where no less than 10 other components had got fried (and I do mean fried beyond recognition, due to somebody having put a bigger fuse in - doh! - dont ever do this ... it's dangerous!). Best thing to do if you dont really know what you're doing is to get a complete exchange 'L'-print.

Bernina 180E Touch Screen Dark, machine light won't come on.

I don't know the circuit of this sewing machine but it gives me the impression the light and the board are in series with a fuse. If this is true the light will burn out and cause the screen to go black as well. If the fuse would go out the same thing would be true. Anyway, change the light first. If this doesn't work you will need to replace the fuse. If there are still problems it will need the mother board to be replaced. Tell me how this worked out.

Bernina artista 180 touch screen slow to respond

I would suggest contacting a sewing machine repair shop
& ask them about the slow response of the screen, & see what they
say & base your decision on that

Bernina 180 light and screen do not come on. There are three vertical lines on screen.

I'm afraid this is almost-certainly a processor board fault and not cheap to repair - needs a new 'S'-Print.

Display goes out-light stays on

Could be a loose connection inside or a circuit board problem, most likely the latter...Bernina Artista machines seem to have greater numbers of circuit board failures to me. Static discharge can fry it in a second.

Coputer screen blank

Unfortunatly I think the S-print circuitboard just went bad. You will need to go to a dealership and have one ordered and installed.
Sorry.
