My TV is displaying thin horizontal lines across the screen, but if I do the self test picture those lines disappear I think when the screen is displaying solid colors those lines disappear but when the TV does any combination of color it is when those lines appears so there always there.
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.
So do you think if I replace the power supply even for the original (BN44-00500B) will fix my issue? I just want to know which part should I buy because I already checked the LVDS cable and two ribbon cable from the T-CON card and still the same issue.
I've replaced the card BN44-00500B but the problem still there I'm still seeing the lines across the tv screen.. any body can help me how to fix this issue? I'm wondering if there is a problem with the LED lights

Unplug for 30 seconds from it's power source and then try it again. If that doesn't work, call Samsung for further troubleshooting and have your model number and serial number handy. Please be prepared to tell them how long the line is.

My 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV HP-R4252 has a 2" vertical strip of green pixels down the right side of the screen.
My 3 year warranty with Circuit City expires in Nov 2008.. so I hope I'm covered.. can't call until the morning.
Samsung said it might be a logic board problem.. but they want almost $2000 to fix. I might as well buy another TV if Circuit City can't fix it.

I have the same problem, currently searching for a solution. Have you resolved your problem yet? Looking to repair myself, any tips or ideas that you have/expirenced would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Todd

Based on reported problems with Samsung LCD tvs, It is probably one of three problems:
Separation of layers of the LCD panel;
A defective LVDS cable connection;
A defective T-Con circuit board.
If light hand pressure on the affected area on the LCD panel changes the problem, its the defective panel. If not, manipulating the LVDS cable will reveal the cable defect. If not, coolant spray applied to the T-Con circuit board should reveal if it is defective by temporarily alleviating the problem. Dont remove the back cover if you dont know how to protect yourself from electrical shock hazards. There can be more than 1000 volts in the backlight inverter area.
