How to disable the alarm

your anti theft device is activated, you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob, call your car dealer to get a new one, they are programmed for each car only, you cannot bypass it.

Brookstone Pure Ion

We had a problem with ours, it kept telling us the filter needed cleaning, though it had just been done and was actually fine. It would sound a high pitched alarm and "freak out" on us.
We found using a shop vac and cleaning it out all (while unplugged, of course) inside where there are intakes and general insides was greatly helpful. It was making a crackling noise as well, quite often.
We have asthma and allergies in the household and rely on this to help our family, it's a wonderful thing to own, we love it.
But, this one problem had us stumped. Do try to use a powerful vacuum and really get inside. We have cats and apparently cat hair as well as household dust was clogging it. You obviously need to do more than clean the filters, themselves, from time to time.

Why does clean stay on

it has a reset function hold down power 5 sec otherwize check to see if there is any dark spots on the bottom before reinserting. 1st make sure its unplugged then 2nd there should be a copper set up as if putting a 9 volt battery into a fire alarm. there should be two side by side the darkening is where either cleaner was left still dripping or a dust partical probably from the paper towel. caused a static charge. use a Q tip to clean it . and always make sure it is dry if u hear a static sound unplug it is still wet.

Alliance Healthdyne oxygen concentrator alarm doesn't stop when turning the unit on.

There are parts inside that machine that have fixed hour ratings. When they are needing to be replaced, that machine has to be serviced. Since it is not an over the counter device, you need to contact a medical specialty vendor and have it worked on. There is no parts available.

Filters are clean, soft cloth used to wipe inside of each filter slot down...not so much worried about the constant clicking, as much as I am the unit running 5mins and shutting off, or the alarm sounding...

These are usually quiet so the clicking might be an problem. It could just be a dirty ion generator. On this unit you can toss those into the dishwasher. If they are dirty enough the click you hear might just be a spark. If it is sensing this it might be why it is shutting down as well.

I've included a link to the manual for the unit so that might help you out in settings and so on.

This is the pdf manual

This is a link to the product page, at the bottom is the tab for warranty and manuals.

I would download and read the manual, clean the unit according to the manual and see if that makes it behave. When these work they are incredible at what they take out of the air. We used a commercial version of this unit in a 13000 sqr foot room and even with a few hundred people who smoked (was allowed at the time) the air remained clear. The ion traps were revolting disgusting when they were cleaned once a week so they definitely pull stuff out of the air.

Trouble indicator came on after a power outage and

When was the last time the backup battery was checked? The trouble indicator could mean a weak or non-working battery. If the system is 12 years old, the battery should be changed.
