This could be a faulty CCFL lamp.
To determine if you have a LCD screen, inverter or video card problem, read this and follow these instructions.
Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

How about the LCD inverter? Did you replace the inverter? It is probably not the actual LCD but just the inverter that needs changing. Give it a go, they are inexpensive, try eBay.

Toshiba a135- screen is temperamental. sometimes it works other times it doesn't. now would that be a problem with the lcd cable or the lcd inverter?

It is often a cracked cable, or a loose cable, the inverter tends to fail quickly either with no warning or flicking, and flickering then failing. Sometimes if the Video card, is in a mini PCI slot it may need to be reseated. Often though it is the LCD itself, as the Driver Row/Column drivers pack up, this is evidenced by lines, dots colors, spreading across and down the rows and columns.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A135 and not sure if blacklight or something else

Your backlight lamp, (Bulb), or the Inverter is bad.

1.General instructions, and photos, for replacement of a typical laptop backlight,
http://www.ccfldirect.com/lcdtutorial.html

2.Instructions for completely disassembling a Toshiba Satellite A135 laptop. The reason I included this is twofold.

A.It shows, and tells exactly, how to remove the LCD screen from your laptop.

B.It shows you that the following information in link 3, on how to replace an Inverter in a Satellite A105, will work for your Satellite A135.
http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/toshiba-satellite-a135/remove-mainboard-1.htm
(At the bottom of this page you will see Page1:: Page2:: Page 3:: Page 4
You are on Page 1. Just click on the white Page2, and so on, to continue)

3.How to replace an Inverter in a Satellite A105,
http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-A105/remove-replace-LCD-screen-1.htm

FIRST! Always remove all power! AC adapter, (Charger), and battery.

Second! Observe anti-static guidelines!

Third! This ain't tough! It just looks hard. Once you see how simple this is, I'm sure you'll agree with me.

Toshibba laptop a135-s2276 ,my mother bords smd chip does not work so display of screen does not appear

The problem is well known witht this model Toshiba - the problem is the fan stops working and then hence shuts down to prevent overheating - it does not take long once the laptop is hot. Without replacing the fan just reboot the laptop until you hear the fan start again on reboot.
