Hi,

Can you post any other details about the device you are using, the operating system, that sort of thing?
Was there any other error message on the display?

I post on behalf of HP.

I am unable to restore my computer on D file

As the computer starts, press <F8> on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.
new_note.jpg Note: You must press <F8> before the Windows logo appears on the screen. If you press <F8> after the Windows logo appears on the screen, the Advanced Boot Options menu will not appear on the screen. If you do not see the Advanced Boot Options menu, restart the computer, and then repeat this step until you see the menu on the screen.

I was useing my computer and the screen turned blue and said unable to load windows. it wont strat up again it just keeps going to the blue screen. it will only turn off it i pull out the battires.

There is a virus which has corrupted some files and therefore it is unable to load windows. In this case you have to reload windows with the help of CDs which came with the computer. If you had made a start up CD, which is advised, when you purchased the computer, that will be very helpful in this case. The only set back will be that you will loose certain data as everything will be reset to factory settings.

Unable to have safe mode screen come up from hitting f8

When the F8 key doesn't work, there is another (less desirable) way to force the computer to start up with the option screen to go into safe mode is to interrupt the Windows start-up process. As soon as the Windows screen comes up showing that it is booting up, remove the power from the computer. When you restart, Windows will detect that it did not start up correctly on the last attempt and will automatically go into the option screen to allow you to choose Safe Mode.

I am unable to re-load XP or Vista. The computer

When the computer first starts up, try tapping over and over the F2 key, or the Delete key. This will bring up the setup screen. Once you get into the setup screen, find the place where it lists all the devices for booting up the computer. Make sure you select the CD ROM as the first boot device. Save the changes, put the recovery CD in the drive, and let the computer start up. Follow the instructions on the screen carefully, and you should have no problems from there. After the operating system is installed, you will have to install all the drivers for your system.
