I had a Centennial washer on a service call doing this just the other day... After putting it trough diagnostics I found no errors and all the washer's mechanics tested okay. After resetting the control by putting it trough the diagnostics mode it continued to repeat cycles without restarting the washer.

  • Try running it through diagnostics and see what error codes are in the memory. (Guide is linked below)
  • What are the codes? do they give any more clues?
  • clear the codes and run a test cycle.
  • does it work?
  • if it checks out properly with the diagnostics it's probably a bad control board...

If it does turn out to be the control try contacting Maytag (Whirlpool) for a parts concession... Whirlpool customer service guide is linked below.
Hope that helps! Good luck!

Hi
The problem most likely is something stuck in the water port of the drain pump.
The pump is located in the front right bottom of the machine and accessible by reoving the lower front panel, It is held in place by 4 small screws and is connected to the drain lines. Disconnect the plug for the outlet, then disconnect the power connection from the pump. Disconnect the drainlines after removing as much water possible from the drum as the water will come out of these liines when you remove them. Remove the pump, open the cover to see the impeller and hopefully the bobby pin, nail, screw, or whatever else is stuck there will be visible and easily removed. Put the pump cover back on, replace the drain lines and screws, and reconnect the power connection to the pump.

My frigidaire 417 front loading washer drum bangs around violently especially during "spin" cycle. What can I do to remedy problem?

You never want to over load your machine, when you do some of the heavier clothes seem to go to one side of the machine. When the spin cycle starts and it's making that loud sound, open it up, wait for the spin to come to a complete stop, then make sure clothes are evenly around. Then put the lid back down it should be fine then. If it's not, then repeat above steps. I hope this helps. Thank You for using FixYa.

My frigidaire front load washer will start a wash, complete the first cycle but then stop and flash all the lights and beep continously until I press "start" or "cancel". If I press "start" again it just...

Hello there:
If your cycle does not complete or The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle should advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. than check the cold water supply line and the filter

Washer has stopped at 26 min with water in the drum. Will not spin or drain. Just sounds like it starts running then stops and repeats.

Good deal your machine is a Series 11.

“”Washer has stopped at 26 min with water in the drum. Will not spin or drain. Just sounds like it starts running then stops and repeats.””

I believe this is the start of a Spin Cycle of that Wash Cycle which Wash Cycle did you have selected?

Are there any error codes to the LED display like dC or uC?

If you stop that wash cycle with the wet load and do a Spin Only cycle will it complete with no error code?

Drum will not spin

Hi,
I am the new owner of a used Asko Cylinda 10504.
The last owner briefly demonstrated the washer starting a wash cycle and entering the agitation cycle of the wash before stopping and pumping the water out and spinning in a final end cycle. I bought it. I had the machine installed turned it on and cannot get it to go through the wash cycle. After starting at #1 it goes through a perpetual spin cycle of sorts--water and soap soaking the drum and laundry but not enough water to fill up half way or less. It stops at number 4 on the program knob sits on a red dot (next to the #4) and does nothing. I then manually move it to the next cycle and it repeats the spin cycle again until I have advanced the program to the end. No wash cycle no rinse cycle. Nothing. When it advances to the red dot I wait for at least 5 minutes before manually advancing the knob. The instructions say that I should get the water pumped out by turning the program knob to #7 or #9 but in both cases it just spins and does no empty or finish in the end spin cycle of several (9?) minutes. Nothing but banging and spinning. The water seems to get into the drum as well as the detergent but nothing else is happening.
No mater where I start the program it spins and sloshes soapy water, pumping almost nothing out.
Any suggestions short of putting it on the curb or paying a kings ransom to fly a tech out to look at it?

MY GUESS.
It seems that it is repeating the same brief cycle over and over. During the move to my house the electronics re set(??!?!?) and now need to be set to the normal mode after being re connected?
Can you help?
Blessings,
Douglas

My old Hoover top loader Washer is noisy & doesn't spin out properly - how can I fix it?

Sounds like the switch which cuts the machine off when the load is unbalanced. My guess is that: This switch is being triggered too easily The springs holding the bowl up are either stretched or one is broken; The machine may not be level.
