I have a Uniden DCT748-4 set of four phones - all with matching serial numbers. I have one handset that works correctly, identified as Handset #1. The problem lies in the other three handsets - even though the phones have been charged, they do not give a dial tone or anything. In fact, their screens are blank.
I have tried powering up the base, and registering them as the manual says. But as the light is blinking on the base, I hold the # key, but nothing happens. I also tried resetting the phone, by unplugging the battery in the handset, and replugging it while holding down the * and # keys, as suggested for other phones - also to no avail.
How do I get these other three phones to work with the base? Thanks for your help!!

On the Base Station select HS Registration then on the Handset hold # for 2 sec

YOU might need to deregister the hand set first by holding down the red end (hang up key) and keep it down while holding the # key. If deregister wont work use base unavailable and yes, you are sure twice.
List the handset numbers of those working handsets
Using a WORKING handset follow these directions
Resetting Handsets
If you want to register the handset to a different base or
replace a handset with another one, you must first clear the
registration information from the base and the handset.
1. Press and hold [ ] and [#] for
at least 5 seconds, until the
SYSTEM RESET menu
appears.
2. Select the DEREGISTER HS
submenu. WHICH HANDSET?
appears in the display.
3. Move the cursor to select the handset ID to be de-registered
from the list, and then press the OK soft key. DEREGISTER HS
appears. CHOSE A NUMBER THAT IS NOT ONE OF YOUR WORKING HANDSETS
4. Move the cursor to select YES, and then press the OK soft key.
When ARE YOU SURE? appears, select YES. You will hear a
confirmation tone.
PUT THE HANDSET IN THE BASE CHARGER AND IT SHOULD REGISTER

we purchased the uninden 3 pack bundle they worked fine when installed now one handset will light up but the screen comes up blank and the handset won't work also if this can be corrected i would like to know how to purchase one extra hand set and charger

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).
