Sony DCR-PC105 Handycam Sound doesn't come

Well, there are one of two things wrong. It is either the connector for the zoom switch has worn down (most likely) or it is a software issue. Unfortunately, the PC105 is very old and you can not pair it with a remote. Personally, I would just send it to sony. It might actually cost more to fix than to get a new camera unless you have a warranty, so you might want to consider getting a newer camera.

The new laptop does not have the codecs installed . Install any software that came along with the camera. Or download latest codecs and install

Normally the in built speaker gets worn out. Oncereplaced you willl get the sound

On my handycam you have to hit the Volume + button while playing back. Everytime you playback it starts volume at zero and you have to volume up to hear anytime you playback.

Just check the DC power supply flowing to the Lens block control. Some times the SMD fuse blows off and power may not reach the lens block motor.
