The bigger the better. It will either get hot if it's not powerful enough, or work ok. The amperage isn't important. The voltage and polarity are. Worst case scenario is you will burn out the adapter if amperage is too low.

I have lost the power supply to my speakers, the only info i have is it's 12v AC/DC I need to know what is the amp and polarity is, to find a replacement.

You need to know what the wattage of the speakers are, polarity is generally standard. There is a small formula too work out what the current rating is. This you can find on the internet. Just search for Voltage , watts to amp converter.
Hope this helps

Can a 12V 6A power adapter replace a 12V 1.5A power adapter?

I'm not an electrician, but I do know that as long as the voltage matches EXACTLY (don't take the chance, most devices don't have a good resistor, or don't have one at all!), the current doesn't matter. I'll explain myself:
A consumer device (your scanner in this case) uses all the current it needed, and it practically doesn't need more! It take just what's necessary!
Connecting adapter which provide LESS is not enough, but more - isn't harmful!

Hope I helped,
Pelu.

There is no such thing as drivers for your speaker system, if you are experiencing no sound you will want to probably get the drivers for your sound card. Please post a new question with your sound card and a request for drivers if possible.

Please help me out by rating my response 4 thumbs if you cold! =)

Need AC/DC adapter for monitor!

Hi inkedpandora, http://icm.computercci.com/pgi-productspec?PSO080 This one should work for you it's the same voltage and amperage as your unit. 19VDC 3.16A Any standard power cable from an old printer or computer will work with one of those PS's. The only thing you need to check before you buy is the polarity of the barrel connector. I looked on the net but could not find out that info so look at the jack where the power plugs into the monitor. You might see a little diagram showing a + and - signs. If the line coming off the + sign goes to the semi-circle than the barrel is positive and if the - goes to the SC the barrel is negative. Ask them before you buy which way that one is. As long as they are the same you will be able to use that PS. Good Luck, Dude
